FONTFOLD.EXE Replacement for the version of
FONTFOLD.EXE contained in FontFolder
2.1A
READFIX.TXT This file
PURPOSE OF FIX
This fix corrects a specific problem that some users may
encounter using FontFolder with Warp 4. Warp 4 has changed
the underlying font handling in OS/2 so that OFM files are
no longer created when fonts are installed (unless one uses
the OS/2 Font Palette to do the font installation). As a
result, a font installed after installing Warp 4 may not
have an OFM file. When uninstalling such a font, FontFolder
will fail with the message
OS2.INI Problem
Couldn't remove mmmmmmmm.OFM from
OS2.INI! Font not removed
If you see this message, you need to install this fix. See
the installation instructions below
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
You must already have FontFolder Version 2.1A to use this
fix. Do not install this fix over any other version of
FontFolder. If you need this fix to run FontFolder with
Warp Version 4, you must first upgrade to FontFolder 2.1A
(Regular or Lite) before installing this fix.
Step 1: Make a backup copy of the present FONTFOLD.EXE. To
make sure that your FontFolder program objects point
to the correct version of FontFolder after this
installation is correct, it is recommended that you
COPY rather than MOVE this file to a backup
location.
Step 2: Copy the new version of FONTFOLD.EXE to your
FontFolder directory, choosing to "replace" the
existing version if that message appears.
Step 3: Check your FontFolder program objects to make sure
that they point to the new version of FONTFOLD.EXE
rather than the old version.
Installation is complete.
